Location: Remote
Hours: Part-time (flexible, approximately 20-25 hours per week)
Compensation: $30/hr

Position Overview:
The Operations Associate will play a crucial role in managing the Foundation's grant programs and fostering a vibrant and engaged research community. This position will support the Executive Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth execution of grant applications, decisions, and reporting processes, as well as engaging with the community to promote the Foundation's mission and activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about advancing scientific research through effective grant management and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Management:
Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of grant applications.
Ensure compliance with grant guidelines and requirements.
Monitor grant timelines and maintain accurate records of all grant activities.
Communicate with grantees to provide support and ensure timely submission of reports and deliverables.
Operational Support:
Manage administrative tasks related to the grant programs, including data entry, filing, and document management.
Coordinate meetings and communication between the Executive Director, grantees, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant documents.
Financial Oversight:
Track grant expenditures and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Assist in preparing financial reports and budgets for grant programs.
Support the Executive Director in managing the Foundation's overall budget and financial planning.
Community Management:
Engage with the Experiment Foundation's research community through various communication channels, including social media, forums, and newsletters.
Facilitate discussions, answer questions, and provide support to community members to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
Organize and promote virtual events, webinars, and workshops to enhance community engagement and knowledge sharing.
Communication and Outreach:
Help develop and maintain relationships with current and potential funders.
Assist in drafting and distributing communication materials, such as newsletters, press releases, and social media updates.
Coordinate outreach efforts to promote the Foundation's grant programs and attract a diverse pool of applicants.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to grant outcomes and community engagement.
Prepare reports and presentations to share with the Foundation's board, funders, and other stakeholders.
Provide recommendations for improving grant processes and community engagement based on data analysis and feedback.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software or community management platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Passion for scientific research and innovation, and for building and maintaining an engaged community.
